Agnes Marie Venable Holmes

Agnes Marie Venable Holmes, 86, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 in Abingdon Manor.
She was born June 18, 1925 and had lived in North Carolina prior to 1995, when she returned to Virginia . She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Holmes; her parents, Robert Thomas and Lucy Cassell Venable; brothers, Hubert Wilson Venable, Robert Cassell Venable and Walter Samuel Venable (Link); and sisters, Stella Mae Snapp, Mary Virginia Duncan, Opal Vivian Venable and Ethel Lorena Duncan.
Survivors include her daughter, Donna Marie Holmes and several nieces and nephews.
The graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Thursday, December 15, 2011 at Holston Conference Cemetery in Emory , Virginia with Rev. John E. Massey, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow. No visitation will be held but those who wish may sign the guest register at Farris Funeral Service anytime prior to the service Thursday.
