Marietta, Ga. – Alice Hunter Wolfe Lanier, age 82, passed peacefully in the comfort of her Marietta, Georgia home, on December 28, 2020. She joins the welcoming arms of her late loving partner of 25 years, Buddy Waller, and sister Eleanor Jane Wolfe.
Alice was born on June 13, 1938, in Abingdon, Virginia, to G. Hunter and Eleanor K. Wolfe. She graduated from Emory School of Nursing with an RN degree. She worked as a Home Health RN, Neo-natal RN at Northside Hospital, and RN educator, before joining Buckhead Brokers as a Real Estate Agent. Alice eventually opened her firm, Alice Lanier Realty.
Alice will always be celebrated as a caring and generous mother to son Hunter Lanier and his wife Marcy, daughter Lynn Lanier, and daughter Jane Hill and her husband Fred. Alice’s love as Grandmother is also cherished by her seven grandchildren, Willow Lanier, Wolfe Lanier, Alexandra Hill, Jackson Hill, Parker Hill, Justin Hill, and William Hill.
Her children hold her memories tight as she paved a loving, passionate, and determined path, encouraging them to pursue their goals and ambitions.
Alice will forever be remembered as a dynamic, energetic, and generous individual, always willing to make one feel their absolute best.
The family would like to thank her caregivers, Esther and Margaret, for providing a loving, safe, and stable home during her transition. They brought peace to the entire family.
