Allen Lee "Chip" Rasnake, age 65, passed away on September 4, 2012 at Bristol Regional Medical Center.
He was born to the late Earnest Lee Rasnake and Mildred Stoots Rasnake in Lebanon, VA. He was a 1965 graduate of Lebanon High School and retired after 42 years of service from General Shale where he worked as an accountant. He was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Nadine Rogers Rasnake; son, Christian Allen Rasnake and wife Jan of Chilhowie, VA; sister, Dianne Lambert and husband Charlie of Bristol, VA; two grandchildren, who were the highlight of his life, Shane Christian Rasnake and Gwen Marie Rasnake; best friend, Freddie Williams of Richmond, VA; and beloved pets, Bandit, Lori Beth, and Oreo.
A memorial service will be held at 8:00 p.m., Monday, September 10, 2012 at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Reverend Timothy E. Keeney officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Honorary pallbearers will be his cousins, nieces, and a nephew. Inurnment will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 11, 2012 in St. Anne's Columbarium. Kenny Sauls and Mitch Wright will bear the ossuary.
