Anna Marie Stallard Meade

Abingdon, VA Anna Marie Stallard Meade, age 87, passed away Friday, February 6, 2015, at Commonwealth Assisted Living. She was born in Wise County, Virginia and had lived in Abingdon since May 1977. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Sidney Allen Meade. Survivors include her sons, Hubert Meade and wife Eva of Enterprise, AL, and Ronnie Meade and wife Teresa of Abingdon; daughter Carolyn Bales and husband Larry of Abingdon; ten grandchildren: Desserra Ewing, Scott Meade, Fallon Baldonado, Cindy Mullen, Angela Cvetkovski, Alex Funk, Jerrod Funk, Travis Bales, Trent Bales, and Andrea Newton; and 20 great-grandchildren. The funeral service for Mrs. Meade will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 8, 2015, in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Rev. Les Ritchie officiating. Burial will follow at Temple Hill Memorial Park in Castlewood, VA where Alex Funk, Jerrod Funk, Scott Meade, Dejan Cvetkovski, Trent Bales, and Truman Hawks will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Ron Ewing and Pyke Newton.
