Anna Kathryn Crabtree Mullins, age 70, of Abingdon, Va., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 1, 2017, at the University of Virginia Medical Center. She was a 1965 graduate of Clintwood High School and a 1966 graduate of Virginia Ferrell Beauty School in Michigan. Ann sang in the choir and was a member of the Ladies Faith Fellowship at Antioch Baptist Church.
She was born to the late John B. “Otis” Crabtree and Nancy Fleming Crabtree on July 3, 1946, in Clintwood, Va. In addition to her parents, Ann was also preceded in death by two sisters, June Crabtree and Kay Adams.
She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Sylvan Mullins; son, Danny Mullins; two daughters, Shelley Epling and Sheri Epling Charles; brother, Calvin Crabtree; sisters, Darlene Morrow; three grandchildren, Bradley Epling, Brieana Schatz, and Austyn Mullins; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415 Lee Hwy., Abingdon, Va. 24210, with Pastor Brad Davis and Pastor Josh Davis officiating. Entombment will follow in the Serenity Garden Mausoleum of Forest Hills Memory Gardens where Brad Davis, Josh Davis, Wayne Humphrey, Jack Mullins, Ron Mullins, and Devin Wells will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at the Forest Hills Chapel.
