Greensboro, NC Anne Langhorne Foster of Greensboro, NC was born in Radford, VA on December 6, 1948 to Wirt and Anne Foster of Abingdon, VA. Known as Lang to all of her friends and family, she passed away on February 18, 2015 from complications due to Parkinson’s disease. Lang graduated from Longwood College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. She taught in Roanoke and Washington County, VA and in Guilford County, NC. Lang later received her Master’s Degree in Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro while raising her three children. She is survived by children Anne Marie Franklin Campbell (husband Jason and daughter Allison Marie Campbell) of St. Louis, MO; Sarah Franklin Hayes (husband Mickey Hayes) of Blacksburg, VA; and David Franklin of Greensboro, NC; by sisters Fran Foster of Greensboro, NC; and Eva Foster of Seattle, WA; brother David Foster (wife Karen Foster) of Abingdon, VA; and by dear friend Marian Franklin of Winston Salem, NC. The family would like to extend a special thanks to David and Karen Foster for taking Lang into their home where she was able to spend her final days in peace, comfort and surrounded by love; to the staff of Caris HealthCare; and to Lang's many friends who have been her loving extended family for all her adult life.
