Arbutus Fern Mullins

Meadowview, VA – Arbutus Fern Brooks Mullins, age 96, went to meet her Heavenly Father on Monday, September 5, 2022.She was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church and a very loving and devoted mother. She loved reading her bible and after her eyesight deteriorated and she became bed ridden – her bible was always right by her side.

Mrs. Mullins was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Trula Brooks; husband Roy Junior Mullins; son, Donald Mullins; grandson, Andrew R. Mullins; and great grandson, Aaron Lee Deel.

She is survived by her children, Patricia Ann Davis, John C. Mullins and wife Gwen, Janice K. Deel, Ralph A. Mullins and wife Angela, Roy David “Butch” Mullins, and Lee Deel; brother, Bert Brooks and wife Diane; ten grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be held 12-1 p.m. Friday, September 9, 2022, in the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Tim Stevens officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memory Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
