Hansonville, VA - Audra Jeane Reynolds Kidd, age 83, went to her heavenly home on Friday, April 3, 2015. Audra was born September 15, 1931 to the late Samuel Patton and Lillie Vina Self Reynolds. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church. Mrs. Kidd worked for several businesses as a bookkeeper and during the 1960’s her and her husband Verlin operated the Rock House Restaurant. Audra also owned Delp’s Mobile Home Park in Meadowview. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Verlin Mitchell, Robert Delp, and Lonnie Kidd; brother, Billie Joe Reynolds; and sister, Magaline “Madge” Statzer. She is survived by her children, Linda (Joel) Mitchell Piazza of Abingdon, VA, Samuel Joseph Mitchell of Hansonville, VA, John Scott (Gail) Mitchell of Abingdon, VA, and James Verlin (Jenny) Mitchell of Meadowveiw, VA; step children, Nick (Pon) Delp, Chellis Delp Holbrook, Barney Delp, Marla Delp, and David (Susan) Kidd; grandchildren, Krista (Levi) McCormick, Christina Piazza, Joel Piazza, Jr., Bradley Mitchell, Kelly Mitchell, Samantha Mitchell, Autumn Mitchell, Clay Mitchell, Melissa Delp, Amanda Delp Zenger, Patty Jo Holbrook, Daniel Kidd, Wesley Kidd, Nathan Delp, Connie Delp, Tyson Huff, McKinsey Huff, and Robert Delp; one great granddaughter, Serafina McCormick; sister, Millie Reynolds Smith of Bristol, VA; brothers, Samuel (Sue) Reynolds of Hansonville, VA, and Eddie Reynolds of Tazewell, VA; special sister-in-law, Patsy Statzer Reynolds of Hansonville, VA; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family will be held 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at the funeral home with Rev. Billy Hawkins officiating. Interment will follow in Counts Cemetery in Brumley Gap with Bradley Mitchell, Joel Piazza, Jr., Clay Mitchell, Bobby Lee Reynolds, James Reynolds, Luke Statzer, Lee Statzer, and Patton Reynolds serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jimmy Pless, Joe Pless, Paul Ed Scyphers, and Dr. Michael Ulrich.
