Abingdon, VA – Ballard Miller, age 84, passed on Monday, June 14, 2021, at his home. Ballard was a farmer for many years as well as a minister of the Word of God. He was preceded in death by his parents, Graham and Bertha Gobble Miller; son, Ted Miller; and siblings, Ruby Reynolds, Beulah Reynolds, Sylvester Miller, Maynard Miller, and Willard Miller.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Minnie Frances Reynolds Miller; daughter, Frances Marie Cook and husband David; granddaughter, Tiffany Rose and husband Tory; great-grandson, Virgello “Riko” Rose; great-granddaughter, Graciana Rose; brothers Herman Miller and Waford Miller and wife Lois; those he thought of as his own children, Melissa and Mike Wise, and grandchildren Hunter and Levi Wise; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 18, 2021, in Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Bro. Fred Reynolds officiating. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to convene at the cemetery.
