Barbara Ann Snell

Barbara Ann Proffitt Snell, 75, of Bristol, VA, went to be with the Lord on March 27, 2023, after an extended illness.  She was born on March 2, 1948 in Tazewell, VA to the late Pansy Marie Johnson and Henry Bowen Proffitt.  She was later raised by her mother and late stepfather Hobert K. Johnson.

Barbara leaves behind her loving husband of 56 years, Raymond Phillip Snell of Bristol, VA, son Stephen Snell and wife Paula of Raleigh, NC, grandchildren Alex Snell and wife Marisa, Nicholas Snell and fiancé Megan Mackowiak, and great granddaughters Reese and Emma Snell.  She was preceded in death by cherished daughter Beverly Annette Snell White.

Barbara had many talents and hobbies – she loved to cook, sew, cross-stitch, and paint.  She also enjoyed DIY projects with her husband.  Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and loved her family.  She is at peace now but will truly be missed by her family and friends.

Graveside services will be held graveside at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA.  Jim Coe of the Tip Top Church of God will be officiating.
