Belma Frances Connerley, 86, passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon.

She was born in Indianapolis, IN and was a daughter of the late Glen and Leotha May Pridemore Lewis. She had spent most of her life in Indiana where she was an active member and Deaconess at Southport Baptist Church in Indianapolis and was also involved in the missionary circle there. She was also a den mother for Trailblazer District Scouts and had worked alongside her husband, Cliff running their construction business, Connerley Construction.

In addition to her parents, her husband, Cliff precedes her in death.

Survivors are her son, Tom Connerley and wife, Beth of Greenwood, IN; her daughters, Sandy Massicotte and husband, Lee of Abingdon and Dr. Dee Hopkins and partner, Bob Neeb of Morgantown, WV; her grandchildren, Tammy Stewart and husband, Everett of Indianapolis, Julie Laidlaw and husband, Rob of McKinney, TX, David Keeney of Indianapolis, Tayla Lee and husband, Dan of Kent, OH, Katadyn Connerley and Erin Connerley both of Greenwood, IN; great grandchildren, Justin and Elizabeth Stewart of Indianapolis and Ian, Matthew and Paige Laidlaw of McKinney, TX also her brother, Robert "Bob" Lewis and wife, Rosalie of Indianapolis.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, May 20, 2010 at Sinking Springs Presbyterian Church in Abingdon with Rev. Beth Yarborough officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 P.M. until service time.

Committal services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 22, 2010 at Mitchell Cemetery in Mitchell, Indiana with Pastor William Graham officiating. Pallbearers will be Lee Massicote, Bob Neeb, Everett Stewart, Rob Laidlaw, Dan Lee and Justin Stewart. Services in Indiana will be conducted by Chastain Funeral Home, Mitchell, IN (812) 849-2600.
