Betty Craft Henderson, 91, passed away on the morning of Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at Grace Healthcare in Abingdon.
She was born in Itmann, WV to the late Walter and Amy Craft. She attended Concord College and was president of Xi Zeta Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and also held the title, "Girl of the Year." She shared ownership of "Little Pigs Barbecue" in Bluefield, WV with her husband, Ray Henderson.
She is survived by five grandchildren, Chris Smith, Paige Pellitteri, Jim Hoye, Sheri Smith, Matt Henderson, eleven great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. She will be missed and loved by all. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Henderson, son James (Jim) Raymond Henderson, Jr., sister Mollie Craft, and brother Walter Craft, Jr.
Her graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at Forest Hills Memory Gardens, Colonial Chapel Mausoleum, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA with Dr. Stephen Pollard officiating.
The family will receive friends at the mausoleum from 12:00 until the time of the service.
