Betty Jean Casey, 55, loving wife, mother and grandmother, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 in Johnston Memorial Hospital.
She was born March 10, 1954 in Washington Co., VA and was a daughter of the late Samuel and Susie Rominger Hicks. She was a graduate of Patrick Henry High School and worked as a Nurses Aid at Grace Healthcare in Abingdon. She attended Duncansville Church.
Survivors are her husband, Tony Casey; son, Josh Casey and wife Carrie of Meadowview, VA; daughter, Sylvia Sullivan and husband Dewayne of Abingdon; four grandchildren, Emily and Andrew Sullivan and Autumn and Isaac Casey; five brothers, Ed, Tommy, Ernie, Johnny and Dexter Hicks; and six sisters, Glenda Prater, Barbara Testerman, Mary Taylor, Brenda Baumgardner, Debbie Keesee and Esther Rutherford. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 13, 2010 in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Pastors Clark Powers and Bobby Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow in Fall Hill Cemetery in Meadowview. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
