Betty Mae Triplett, age 85, peacefully passed away in Meadowview, Virginia on Tuesday, February 20, 2024. She was born in Washington County, Virginia, on May 22, 1938 to the late Emmitt Fuller Burke and Ida Elizabeth Kinsley Burke. She was a loving individual who cherished her family dearly. Betty's eyes lit up the most when she was surrounded by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even great-great-grandchildren.

Fondly remembered for her adventurous spirit, Betty enjoyed taking her grandchildren on treasure hunts and leisurely walks. Simple pleasures like trips to McDonald's and Dollar Tree brought immense joy to her heart. In quieter moments, she immersed herself in reading and solving word search puzzles, finding solace and contentment in these activities.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Glenn Triplett; son, Gary Wayne Triplett; grandson, Brian Booher; son-in-law, Thomas Hughes; and siblings, Laura, Polly, Sara Ellen, Ann, Ginger, Buddy and Nora Lee.

Betty Mae Triplett's legacy lives on through her surviving family members; her daughters Patricia Hughes and Sandy Norris; grandchildren Lisa Miller (Cameron), Jason Booher (Kayla), Erin Lawson, Tiffany Thomas (Brandon); great-grandchildren Phoenix Miller, Searra Lawson, Courtney Lawson, Bailey Booher, Landon Booher, Lilianna Thomas; great-great-grandchildren Kendall Salyer, Dawson Salyer, Grayson Roseberry; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service to honor and celebrate Betty Mae Triplett's life will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at Forest Hills Memory Gardens in Abingdon, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Jason Booher, Landon Booher, Bailey Booher, Cameron Miller, Brandon Thomas and David Hutton.
