ABINGDON, VA Beulah Lockhart O’Quinn, age 96, of the South Holston Lake area of Abingdon, Va. and formerly of Buchanan County, Va., passed away at her home on Wednesday, September 16, 2015. She was the second of five children born to the late Wilburn Lockhart and Alta Jackson Lockhart in Haysi, Va. She was a member of Holston Valley Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Beulah was also preceded in death by her husband, Roley O’Quinn; two daughters, Sue O’Quinn Daniels and Wanda “Little” O’Quinn; two brothers, Albert Lockhart and Ishmell Lockhart; and two sisters, Dallie Sisk and Ella Mae Vandyke. She is survived by two sons, J.D. O’Quinn and wife Delilah of Abingdon, and Jimmy O’Quinn of Bluefield, Va.; daughter, Odessa O’Quinn Raines and husband Everett of Grundy, Va.; son-in-law, Dean Daniels of Abingdon; six grandchildren, Jimmy Thacker, Chase O’Quinn, Justin O’Quinn, Loretta Deel, Linda Swiney, and Angie O’Quinn; two great-grandchildren, Amos Lee Swiney and Gwen Anderson; and four great-great- grandchildren, Ryder Anderson, Kirsten Boyd, Alyson Swiney, and Ashley Swiney. Visitation for Mrs. O'Quinn will be on Thursday, September 17, 2015, from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with a song service to follow. A funeral ceremony will be held on Friday, September 18, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Paul Ketron and the Rev. Jason Dunn officiating. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of Memories Mausoleum of Forest Hills Memory Gardens where Chase O’Quinn, Justin O’Quinn, Bobby Steele, Amos Swiney, Roger Daniels, Larry Vandyke, Ronny Vandyke, and Kevin Daniels will serve as pallbearers. Members of Holston Valley Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.
