Beulah Mae “Boots” Cook, age 77, passed away on Friday, November 24, 2017 at Bristol Regional Medical Center. She was a native of Abingdon, but had lived in Blountville for a number of years. Boots was a member of Feathers Chapel Church. She was a homemaker, and spent her time cooking, gardening, and sewing to make her family a home.
She was predeceased by her parents Paul and Bertie Mae Thomas, and a sister Phyllis Irene Anderson. She is survived by her husband of 58 years Frank Stuart Cook; sons Frank Anthony Cook and wife Angela of Kingsport, TN, and Christopher Vincent Cook and wife Linda of Blountville, TN; daughter Debbie Arna Tsahakis and husband Nick of Huntsville, AL; brothers Benjamin Clark Thomas, Paul Scott Thomas and Billy “Jack” Thomas all of Abingdon; sisters Selma Lillian Camper of High Point, NC and Annis Marie Delp of Abingdon; 3 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 27, 2017, at 2:00 PM at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Scotty Sexton officiating. Interment will follow at forest Hills Memory Gardens where casket bearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at the funeral home.
