Bristol, VA- Bill Allen Young, age 81, of Bristol, VA passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2014 due to complications from cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Young and Pearl Young Bare; son, Chris Young; twin daughters, Brenda and Linda Young; and the mother of his children, Betty Young. Bill loved the outdoors which is where he spent most of his career in the asphalt industry and as an estimator. He is survived by five children: Cynthia Cavazos and husband Alex of Lubbock, TX; Jeff Young and wife Molly of Myrtle Beach, SC; Teresa Hall and husband Johnny of Bristol, VA; Sharon Lenkei of New Braunfels, TX; and Monica McCall and Sam Nance of Huntersville, NC; aunt, Stella Riley of Bristol, VA; and special cousins, Archie Young and wife Ann and James Young and wife Lonnie all of Marion, VA; 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Pastor Scott Price officiating. Military Honors will be presented by the Highlands Veterans Honor Guard and the Virginia National Guard.
