Billy Marvin Stinson, 75, passed away Saturday, May 22, 2010 at his home.
He was born in West Virginia and was a son of the late Walker and Mayme Ray Stinson. He attended Living Faith and Shiloh Freewill Baptist Churches and was also preceded in death by two sisters, Edith Lell and Carol Ball and a brother, Raymond Stinson.
Survivors are his wife, Helen Jean Crabtree Stinson; one son, Billy Kim Stinson and wife, Donna of Lebanon, VA; one daughter, Lana Ann Amos of Bristol, VA; four step children, Rita Maine and husband, Donnie of Coeburn, VA, Ronda Lyall and husband, Jeffery of Bristol, TN, Charlotte Christian and husband, Curtiss of Tazewell, VA and Ivan Fleming of Smyra, TN one brother, Jerry Stinson and wife, Linda of Lebanon; one grandchild; one great grandchild; sister-in-law, Mary Lou Stinson; several step grandchildren and several step great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Sunday, May 23, 2010 in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Rev. Scott Green officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service Sunday evening.
Committal services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 24, 2010 at Temple Hill Memorial Park in Castlewood, VA. Pallbearers will be Hunter Maine, Ivan Fleming, Glen Stinson, Carlos Stinson, Gary Stinson and Roger Helton. The procession to the cemetery will leave Farris Funeral Service in Abingdon at 1:00 P.M. Monday.
