Bobby Franklin Seymore, age 73, passed on Sunday, June 2, 2013, at Johnston Memorial Hospital. Bobby was a lifelong resident of Washington County. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Bobby loved motorcycles and camping and was employed at Kerns Bakery for 24 years and had also worked at Valleydale and Appalachian Plastics. He is preceded in death by father, Thomas Edward Seymore.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Kestner Seymore; three sons, Bobby Franklin Seymore, Jr. of Damascus, VA, Rick (Sherrie) Seymore of Bristol, VA, and Devin Seymore of Abingdon, VA; two daughters, Mary Beth (Greg) Dorton of Crossville, TN and Lauren Ann Seymore of Abingdon, VA; mother, Audrey Elizabeth (McVey) Seymore of Glade Spring, VA; two brothers, Vernie (Kay) Seymore and Tommy Seymore both of Abingdon, VA; two sisters, Joann (Jim) Cornette of Damascus, VA and Shirley (A.D.) Sandefur of Abingdon, VA; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at Damascus Road Baptist Church with Rev. John E. Massey, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Knollkreg Memorial Park with Logan Seymore, Caleb Seymore, Jarryd Widener, Jimmy Cornette, Jr., David Sandefur, and Greg Dorton serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Seymore and Clyde Seymore.
