Brandon Scott Jackson, 34, of Abingdon passed away on March 24, 2011 at his home.

Brandon was born and raised in Glade Spring, VA; attended Grace Presbyterian Church; graduated from Patrick Henry High School in 1995 where he was very active in football and baseball; and attended Ferrum College. Brandon was a very talented carpenter, and was an avid fisherman, hunter and loved his dogs. He is preceded in death by his father, John Mark Jackson.

Brandon was a devoted husband of 11 years to Tish Jackson; and a loving father to his two daughters, Cassidie Ann and Ella Kate Jackson; Brandon is also survived by his mother, Debbie L. Jackson; two brothers, Eric Jackson and his wife Sarah of Glade Spring, VA, and Creig Jackson and his wife Sarah of Marion, VA; his in laws, Mike and Karen Hilt; and Mike and Pam Reynolds; a maternal grandmother, Mabel Ratcliffe; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, March 27, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Grace Presbyterian Church with Dr. Darlene Litton and Rev. Scott Spence officiating. Burial will follow the service in Mount Rose Cemetery, Glade Spring, VA.

Pallbearers will be Darrell Chapman, Craig Hudson, Dustin Grace, Eric Reynolds, Rick Greer, Steven Taylor, Rick Craven, and Vaughn Garland. Honorary pallbearers are Eric Jackson, Creig Jackson, James Murdock, Mike Reynolds, and Mike Hilt.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 26, 2011 from 6-8 PM at Farris Funeral Service, 427 East Main Street, Abingdon, VA 24210.

In lieu of flowers memorial contribution may be made in honor of Brandon Scott Jackson to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
