Brandon Tyler Lord, age 12, passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at Bristol Regional Medical Center. Brandon was a member of the Washington County 4-H Livestock Club, Highlands Wrestling Club, and had just completed the sixth grade at E.B. Stanley Middle School. Brandon also enjoyed farming and recreation at the Coomes Recreation Center in Abingdon.
He is survived by his parents, Robert "Bobby" Lord and Heather Richardson; two brothers, R.C. Lord and Dale Lord of the home; sister, Sheanna Lord of Milford, DE; grandparents, Robert and Sharon Lord of Dover, DE and Carl and Linda Richardson of Bristol, VA; aunts, Holly Richardson of Tucson, AZ and Brenda (Ronnie) Benton of Greensboro, MD; uncle, Jason McCall of Damascus, VA; grandmother, Pauline McConnell "Grandma Polly"; two cousins, Jessica and David.
Funeral services will be held 3:30 p.m. Monday, June 18, 2012 in the Abingdon High School auditorium with Rev. Barbara Farmer officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memory Gardens at 4:30 p.m. with Robert Lord, R.C. Lord, Dale Lord, Jason McCall, Ronnie Benton, Brandon Gobble, David Walls and Tyler Mitchell serving as pallbearers.
Visitation with the family will be 4:00 P.M. 8:00 P.M. Sunday evening in the Abingdon High School auditorium. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Washington County 4-H Center Livestock Club, 234 West Valley Street,
Suite B, Abingdon, VA 24210, in Brandon's name.
