Brenda J. Rose

Meadowview, VA Brenda J. Rose, age 73, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, October 10, 2016, at her home with her family by her side. Brenda was born, raised, and lived most of her life in Dickenson County, VA before moving to Meadowview in 1998. She attended Shady Grove Holiness Church.

Brenda is preceded in death by her parents, Wilson Anderson and Eula Edwards Anderson; sisters, Nina Edwards and Lois Jones; brothers, David Anderson and Allen Anderson; and son-in-law, William Kim Patton.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Luther Rose; three daughters, Myra Jodi Copenhaver and husband Gene of Meadowview, VA, Lagwenna Patton of Clinchco, VA, and Melissa Epling and husband Gerald of Bristol, VA; brother, Darrell Anderson and wife Rita of Clinchco, VA; three sisters, Marge McDonald and husband Rex of Abingdon, VA, Bonicha Stenberg and husband Gino of Hazel, KY, and Dorothy Cochran and husband Ronnie of Abingdon, VA; grandchildren, Brad Copenhaver, Will Copenhaver, Jaymee Copenhaver, Lucian Patton, Caleb Patton, Trey Epling, and Leslie Epling; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be held 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2016, at the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA 24210. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday with Pastor Paul Price and Pastor Gary Roark officiating. Interment will follow in Knollkreg Memorial Park where the seven grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
