Brenda Joyce Dye Reynolds, 78, passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Grace Health Care in Abingdon following a brief illness.
Brenda was born in Wasgington County, Va. to the late Scott Dye and Goldie Johnson Dye. She had worked at Harwood and loved to make unique jewelry.
Besides her father, Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, Velt Reynolds; sister, Clara Dye Woodward; brother, Gary T. Dye; and one infant son, Rory Reynolds. Brenda is survived by her mother, Goldie Johnson Dye of Greendale; son, Billy Reynolds of Abingdon; daughters, Tannis Crosswhite and husband Kenneth Wayne Crosswhite of Emory; Myra Harmon of Abingdon and special friend, Lonnie Morley of Shady Valley, Tenn.; three brothers Scottie Mack Dye of Bristol, Ronnie Dye and wife Anita of Bristol, and Barry Dye of Greendale; sister, Patricia McCrosky and husband Spurgeon of Abingdon; grandchildren, Christopher Crosswhite, Tamsyn Crosswhite Brown, Brian Harmon, and Joseph Harmon; great-grandchildren, Rachel, Jacob, Lucas Harmon, Aubrey Brown and Delilah Crosswhite; and best friend, Linda Bralley.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday, October 26, 2018 in Forest Hill Memory Gardens with Rev. John E. Massey, Jr. officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth Wayne Crosswhite, Christopher Crosswhite, Joseph Harmon, Brian Harmon, Mick Ireson, and Jimmy Brown. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery by 2:50 p.m.
