Bynum Fields "B.F." Goodman, 96, passed away Friday, September 17, 2010 in Bristol Nursing Home.
Born October 29, 1913, he was a son of the late James W. and Sallie Church Goodman. He was a lifelong resident of Washington County and had attended Singingwood Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by wives, Gertie Roe and Sarah Ellen Burke; six brothers and three sisters.
Survivors are his daughter, Janet Marie Hicks and husband, Jim of Bristol, VA; four sons, Harold Goodman and wife, Betty of Bristol, TN, James Robert Goodman and wife, Marie of Bristol, VA, Johnny Douglas Goodman and wife, Sandra of Bristol, VA and Carl Fields Goodman and wife, Mary of Bristol, VA; step children, Martha and Josh Reynolds; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren as well as several nieces, nephews and other family members.
Funeral services for B.F. Goodman will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Monday, September 20, 2010 in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Pastor John Beeler officiating. Interment will follow in Knollkreg Memorial Park in Abingdon. Mr. Goodman's grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff at Bristol Nursing Home, Bristol Regional Medical Center, Dr. Mancini and to daughter-in-law, Sandra Goodman for the compassionate care given to Mr. Goodman.
The family will receive friends at Farris Funeral Service from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Sunday.
