Carl Clifton Sinclair

Bristol, TN- Carl Clifton Sinclair, age 61, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 28, 2014, at his home. He was born on February 22, 1953, to Henry “Hank” Sinclair and the late Lettie Russell Sinclair. He retired from Kerns Bakery in Bristol, VA after 22 years of service. In addition to his father, Carl is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Elizabeth Parks Sinclair; two sons, Hank D. Sinclair and wife Patty of Bristol, VA and B.J. Sinclair and wife Melissa of Damascus, VA; daughter, Nickie Stallard and husband Shannon of Damascus, VA; brother, Don Sinclair and wife Mary of Greensboro, NC; sister, Diane Keel and husband Albert of FL; eight grandchildren who he loved dearly, Kurstien Nunley, Tiffany Sinclair, Anthony Sinclair, Logan Stallard, Zachary Sinclair, Micah Stallard, Hayden Montgomery, and Mia Sinclair; special aunt, Vernie Russell of Abingdon, VA; and special friend and co-worker, Steven Odum and wife Karen of Bristol, VA. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, July 31, 2014, at Greenwood Cemetery adjacent to Greenwood Freewill Baptist Church, 26385 Denton Valley Road, Abingdon, VA 24211, with Bro. Robert Prater officiating. Brad Baumgardner, Glen Baumgardner, Duffy Parks, Jason Parks, Anthony Sinclair, and Russell Smythe will serve as pallbearers. Robert Baumgardner, Bill Denton, and Ralph Lane will serve as honorary pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help defer the cost of final expenses.
