Abingdon, VA – Carl Edward “Chopper’ Zahrndt, Jr. died suddenly on Friday, December 26, 2014. He was born on July 30, 1970 to Carl Edward Zahrndt, Sr. and Janet Shepard Zahrndt. He was raised in Myakka City and Sarasota, FL. He loved making music and surfing. He was predeceased by his father, Carl Edward Zahrndt, Sr. and his mother-in-law, Christine Keesee. He is survived by his mother, Janet Shepard Zahrndt; wife, Tina Hayes; son, Aaron Zahrndt; two step-daughters, Heather Hayes and Layla Panichello; four grandchildren, Christina Hayes, Shelby Hayes, Shane Cooley, and Joseph Avery LaBelle; father-in-law, Avery Keesee; sister-in-law, Rhonda Black; two brothers-in-law, Randy Keesee and Glenn Keesee; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
