Carolyn Jeanette Blaylock

Mrs. Carolyn Jeanette Blaylock, age 69, went to be with the Lord on Monday November 18, 2013 at Grace Healthcare in Abingdon, VA. She was a lifelong resident of the Benhams Community, where she was a member of the Shiloh Freewill Baptist Church. At the Church, she served numerous years as the church secretary/treasurer and Sunday School Teacher. In addition to being the maker of her home, she enjoyed crafts and crocheting.

Mrs. Blaylock was predeceased by her parents Gaines Sullivan and Bertie Hensley Sullivan and her husband of 42 years, Kent Blaylock. Survivors include: son Joey Blaylock and wife Ashley of Bristol, VA; brother Gary Sullivan and wife Sandra of Bristol, VA; grandchildren Karigan, Kailey, Kelsey and Landon Blaylock; brothers-in-law Dean Blaylock and Ted Blaylock both of Bristol, VA; sisters-in-law Linda Talbert of Titusville, FL and Patsy McCoy of Bristol, VA. Several nieces and nephews and a special friend Betty Helton also survive.

A funeral service for Mrs. Carolyn Jeanette Blaylock will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday November 23, 2013 at the Shiloh Freewill Baptist Church in Bristol, VA with Rev. Don White officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm 3:00 pm prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Walnut Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
