A tribute to honor a beautiful life Carrie Ann Jackson Kimery, age 33, passed away after a 21 year battle with brain cancer. First diagnosed at 12, her health challenges did not keep her from enjoying life. Through her 20 year battle, she never lost her love of animals (especially her beloved Chihuahua, Ginger), nor her caring bright spirit toward other people. Carrie was a native of Buchanan County, but moved to the Bristol area 12 years ago. She attended, and received her Associates Degree from Virginia Highlands Community College. Prior to her health forcing her to leave the workforce, she was employed by Food City. Carrie attended Fellowship Chapel, Bristol, VA. She and her family are most thankful and appreciative of the support from the congregation. Carrie may have lost the battle in this life, but she won the war of death, as she is sitting in the arms of Jesus with a new body and no more pain.
Carrie was predeceased by her grandparents, Lucille and Clifford King formerly of Rowe, VA, and Robert and Dorothy Jackson of Rowe, VA.
Carrie is survived by her loving and caregiving husband, Michael Kimery; parents, Gary and Darlene Jackson of Abingdon, VA; sister, Christy Addison and husband Shannon of Bristol, TN; niece and nephew, Mackenzie and Tyler Addison of Bristol, TN; special uncle, Kenneth King of Abingdon, VA; special cousin, Raymond Boyd of Manassas, VA; special mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ruby Kimery and Bennie Turner of Mosheim, TN.
