Catherine Christine Osborne

Abingdon, VA - Catherine Christine Osborne left to be with her Heavenly father on July 27, 2021 at the age of 86. Catherine, known to many as Cat or Nana, depending on your relationship with her, was born on March 9, 1935 in Saltville, VA. She was married to the love of her life Merle Osborne for 42 years and they had two children.

Catherine travelled the world with Merle while he served in the military for 30 years. She was most proud of being a mother and a Nana. She was known as an accomplished cook, cake designer, interior decorator, seamstress, gardener, crafter, and hostess; her home was a hub for family and friends. Catherine was a devout Christian and served at Wallace United Methodist Church as a member of the choir.Catherine is preceded in death by her husband Merle Osborne, brother Bobby and parents James & Lorean Cumbow.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Deborah & husband Jeffery Barrett, of Saltville, VA, and Merla Bouchillon, of Blountville, TN; her grandchildren, Allana & husband Adam Maiden, of Richmond, VA, Brandon Bouchillon & wife Alicia of Fayetteville, AR, John-Mark Bouchillon & wife Jenn, of Colorado Springs, CO, and Christina Bouchillon of Knoxville, TN; and great-grandchildren Cece, Eddie, Robert, and Josie Bouchillon; special sisters-in-law Violet Henderson, Brenda Osborne, and Mary Osborne, several nieces and nephews, and best friends Danny & Connie Howell and Lucille Musick.

Visitation with the family will be held 1-2 p.m. Friday, July 30, 2021, in the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA.  Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Benny Frye officiating.  Entombment will follow in the Colonial Chapel Mausoleum of Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Allana Maiden, Brandon Bouchillon, John-Mark Bouchillon, Christina Bouchillon, Adam Maiden, and Spencer Gentry serving as pallbearers.
