Bristol, VA Charles (Bob) Robert Puckett died peacefully Saturday, November 14, 2015, at Wellmont Hospice House in Bristol, Tennessee. He was born August 13, 1929, in Lynndale, Virginia. After serving in the U.S. Air Force from 1951-1955, he settled in Bristol, Virginia. He had attended Fellowship Chapel. Bob was an avid motorcyclist. He competed in endurance riding and at one time ranked first nationally in his class. He travelled to all the U.S. states except Hawaii on his motorcycle and maintained lifelong friendships with his biking companions. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Irma Numberger Puckett; his daughters Susan Puckett Rash and Bobbie Puckett Dunn; one sister, Betty Puckett Leonard; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The funeral service for Bob Puckett will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, November 20, 2015, at the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415 Lee Highway, with Pastor Scott Price officiating. Burial with military graveside rites will follow in Forest Hills Memory Gardens, with Max Rash, Trip Dunn, Pat Rash and Bobby Dunn serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 p.m. 3:00 p.m. at the Forest Hills Chapel.
