Charles Christopher Curtis "Chip", age 47, passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2013 at Johnson City Medical Center. He was born to the late William Newell Curtis and Rubye Moore Curtis on December 10, 1965. He was a native of Bristol, TN and was a graduate of Tennessee High School. He was a construction worker by trade and enjoyed working with his horses and fishing in his free time. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Robin Hudson Curtis; three sons: Craig Hudson of Abingdon, VA; Sgt. C. Christopher Curtis II (USMC) and wife Stephanie of Camp Lejeune, NC; and Levi Curtis of the home; daughter, Brianna Curtis of the home; four brothers: Bill Curtis of Bluff City, TN; David Curtis and wife Lani of Nampa, ID; Jeff Curtis of Bristol, TN; and Danny Curtis of Limestone, TN; four grandsons; 14 nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, September 16, 2013 at the Church of New Beginnings, 10495 Forrest Hills Drive, Glade Spring, VA 24340 (276-429-2860).
Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help defer the cost of final expenses. Flowers may be delivered directly to the church.
