Charles Chuck Wesley Walton, age 69, passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2016, at Johnston Memorial Hospital. He was born on July 14, 1946, the youngest of three children born to the late Wesley Newton Walton and Romaine Paulson Walton in Minneapolis, Minn. He was employed as a maintenance mechanic at Bristol Compressors for over 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years, Kathie Marie Walker Walton; and sister, Myrna Mitchell.
Chuck is survived by his sister, Marles Spittle of Redondo Beach, Calif.; two biological nephews and a niece. Through his wife, Kathie, Chuck gained several nieces and nephews; two special great nieces, Summer Arnold of Bristol, Va. and Chelsey Arnold Dotson of Morristown, Tenn.; two great nephews; two great-great nieces, Lindsey McReynolds and Jaedyn Dotson; and special great-great nephew, Dru Dotson.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Pastor Fred Dotson officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
