Charles Fredrick Crowgey, Jr., age 70, passed on Friday, May 24, 2013, at his home. He was born September 9, 1942 in Dickenson County, VA to the late Charles F. Crowgey and Dorothy French Crowgey.
He grew up in Emory, VA and graduated from ETSU. Fred had 31 years of government service through the Air Force, Naval Reserve, and DEA with assignments throughout the U.S. and overseas.
He is survived by his daughter, Teresa (Terry) Wright and husband Tim of Roanoke, VA; son, Charles F. (Chip) Crowgey, III of Saltville, VA; the mother of his children, Charlotte Wood; sisters, Dianne Roberts and husband George of Emory, VA and Susan Crookshank of Emory, VA; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Tom Johnson, Ann Kibler, Mark Osborne, and Carol and Anthony Parker.
A graveside service for family and friends will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, June 8, 2013, at Holston Conference Cemetery with Rev. Barbara Farmer officiating.
