Chester William Brown, Jr., age 47, passed on Sunday, June 2, 2013. He is preceded in death by his parents, Chester William Brown and Mary Jean Chandler, and sister, Kathy Ann Brown.
Survivors include his daughter, Katie Brown of Damascus, VA; sister, Chris (David) Sweet of Abingdon, VA; niece and nephews, Steve Sweet, Justin Sweet, Jessica Lewis and Aaron Lewis; and special friend, Cindy Green.
Graveside services will be held at 3:30 P.M. Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at Solid Rock Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Billy Hawkins officiating. Pallbearers will be Jerry Fields, Casey Richardson, Chuck Bowlin, Shawn Barr, Steve Sweet, and David Sweet.
Visitation with the family will be held 1-3 P.M. Wednesday prior to the graveside service at the Main Street location of Farris Funeral Service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Chester Brown Memorial Fund, 26460 Nestlewood Road, Abingdon, VA 24211. Those wishing to express sympathy online may do so by visiting www.farrisfuneralservice.com and signing the online guest register.
