Clara Ann Taylor, age 89, passed away on November 16, 2012 at Valley Healthcare. She was a member of Chestnut Grove Community Church.
She was born to the late Dexter Fletcher Kestner and Ruth Reynolds Kestner. She is also preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Clyde C. Taylor; three brothers, Preston Kestner, Silas Kestner, and Ernest Kestner; and two sisters, Beulah Calloway and Ocie Poston.
She is survived by two sons, Jack Taylor and wife Jane of Salem, VA and Mike Taylor and wife June of Meadowview, VA; one sister, June Casey of Meadowview, VA; two sisters-in-law, Gladys Kestner of Saltville, VA and Sadie Kestner of Glade Spring, VA; two brothers-in-law, Kyle Taylor of Abingdon, VA and Glen Taylor and wife Wanda of Saltville, VA; four grandchildren, Tawyna Harris and husband Tom of Lynchburg, VA, Chris Taylor of Meadowview, VA, David Taylor and wife Michelle of Norfolk, VA, and Michael Taylor of Meadowview, VA; and four great grandchildren, Ellie Harris, Kelsie Taylor, Kayla, and Lillie Taylor.
A funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m., Monday, November 19, 2012 at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Pastor Olen Castle officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home. A committal service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 20th at Mt. Rose Cemetery. Relatives and friends are asked to convene at the cemetery by 10:45 a.m., Tuesday.
