Clara Edna Blevins, 85, of Abingdon, Va., went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 11, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Blevins; one son, Eddie Blevins; parents, Bill and Myrtle Parks; and also several siblings.
She is survived by her children: Joan Wilkerson and husband Keith of Richmond, Va.; Freda Watson of Bristol, Tenn.; Bill Blevins and wife Sharon of Abingdon; Tim Blevins and wife Brenda of Damascus, Va.; Judy Blevins of Abingdon; Alice Garner of Damascus; and Tommy Blevins of Damascus; sisters Edith Bumgardner, Eileen Lane, Elizabeth Sinclair, and Retha Wilson; brother Ronnie Parks; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Alvarado Bible Church. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Alvarado Bible Church with Pastor Junior Gobble officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery where Chris Hayes, Eddie Blevins, Trey Bowling, Tracy Bumgardner, Bobby Blevins, and Hunter Blevins will serve as pallbearers.
