Clara June Cabbell Bentley

Clara June Cabbell Bentley, age 80, of Abingdon, Va., was reunited with her husband in Heaven on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at Johnston Memorial Hospital. She was a charismatic woman who loved her friends, family, and grandchildren. She was especially close to her chosen family at Providence Community Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Lottie Cabbell; husband of 50 years, Russell B. Bentley; and brother, Madison “Hoppy” Cabbell.

June is survived by her daughter, Kim Whaley and husband Steve of Mineral, Va.; two grandchildren, Jeremy Whaley and Jessica Whaley, of Manassas, Va.; two sisters, Rose Catron, of Paragon Ind., and Esther Morefield, of Abingdon, Va.; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, with Pastor Stan Hill officiating. A committal service will be held at Knollkreg Memorial Park following the funeral service. A visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday, October 8, 2021, at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service.
