Dateline: Blountville, TN- Clara Thompson Allison, age 77, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2015, at Bristol Regional Medical Center. She was the last of four children born to the late Oscar Thompson and Adaline Cynthia Grey Thompson. Clara owned the Rebel Restaurant and worked as a server and cook at the In Towner Restaurant for over 25 years. In addition to her parents, Clara was also preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Dave Allison; three brothers, Haskell, Elmer, and Eugene Thompson; and great-grandson, Mark Anthony Allison. She is survived by two sons, James David Allison and wife Margaret Allison of Bristol, TN and Tim Allison and wife Rebekah of the home; daughter, Synthia Tara Worley of the home; favorite daughter-in-law, Peggy Allison; six grandchildren, Mike Allison, Mark Allison and wife Kim Taylor, Hunter, Tyler, and Triniti Allison, and Amber Michelle Chapman; five great-grandchildren, Emily, Sarah, Justice Cain, Little Keith, and Destiny Rain Allison; and two special cousins, Gerrie Lamie and David Lamie both of Chilhowie, VA. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 19, 2015 at the Old Glade Presbyterian Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Cain, James, Mike, and Tim Allison, Samuel Marraico, and Allen Patrick. Mark Allison will serve as an honorary pallbearer. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m.-1:30 p.m. Friday at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses of Bristol Regional Medical Center, especially Nathanael Holmes of the ICU.
