Claude Samuel "Sam" Rosenbalm, 64, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2012 at Wellmont Bristol Regional Medical Center .
Sam was born February 8, 1947 in Abingdon , VA , the son of the late William and Cora Gentry Rosenbalm. He served with the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1968, stationed in Germany . Sam worked as a mechanic for the City of Bristol for over twenty years. He was a strong, hard-working man who loved to make people laugh and spent his leisure time on South Holston catching fish.
He is survived by his children, Amie and Danny Rosenbalm; brother, Robert Myers; sister, Mary Lynn Gregory; five grandchildren; close friend, Linda Carlson and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday, February 10, 2012 in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Rev. John E. Massey, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memory Gardens .
The family will receive friends at Farris Funeral Service from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Thursday, February 9, 2012 .
