Cleo Isabell Rambo, 84, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 5, 2009 in Smyth County Community Hospital following a short illness.
She was born March 27, 1925 to the late William Bryan and Cleo Patra McKee. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Leroy Rambo and two brothers, William McKee and Robert McKee.
She is survived by three daughters, Shirley V. Coe and husband, Kyle of Abingdon, Brenda Rambo Harless and husband, Randy and Helen Rambo Gentry and husband, Mike of the Friendship community of Glade Spring; four grandchildren, Jason Coe, Adam Coe and wife, Serena, Chris Gentry and Cody Gentry; two nephews, Billy and David McKee and one niece, Peggy Kennedy.
Isabell was an active member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church for the last 46 years. She was a devoted member and served as the former church pianist for several years. She was also a former member of the Kelly's Chapel United Methodist Church.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, November 8, 2009 at Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church with Pastors Dennis and April Milligan officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jason Coe, Adam Coe, Chris Gentry, Cody Gentry, Charlie Mutter, David Fleenor, Fred Overbay and Mac Johnson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joey Barker, Aaron Fleenor, Corey Johnson, Jenner Johnson, Meaghan Mutter, Fred Ray, Worley McVey, Bill McKee, David McKee, Joe Kennedy, Larry Overbay, Rodney Anderson and Paul Oliver.
Isabell was well known throughout the community and loved by all. She was full of life and enjoyed being with her family and traveling. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the ER and ICU staff at Smyth County Community Hospital, as well as to her caregiver, Angie Parris.

The family will be receiving friends at Farris Funeral Service from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Saturday.
