Cleta Inette Gilmore

Cleta Inette Gilmore, age 85, of Abingdon, Va., went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 14, 2020, at Johnston Memorial Hospital.  She was born June 7, 1935, to the late Leslie Joseph Robinson and Louie Evelyn Bolling Robinson in Dickenson County, Va.  In her younger years, Cleta resided in Baltimore, Md. and returned to Southwest Virginia in 1970.  She was of the Christian Baptist faith. 

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Gilmore; two daughters, Donna Sproles and Tammy Mullins; and a sister, Greta Hill. 

Cleta is survived by three children: Bill Mullins; Cheryl Mullins Davenport; and Robert Gilmore, II, all of Abingdon, Va.; two brothers, Joe Robinson and wife, Sharon, of Alvarado, Va., and Fred Robinson and wife, Rita, of Mt. Carmel, Tenn.;  two sisters, Pat Mullins, of Rogersville, Tenn. and Glenna Buchanan and husband, Alan, of Bristol, Va.; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and two feline companions, Tom and Elvis. 

A private family committal service will be scheduled at a later date.
