Cody Andrew Jenkins, age 21, of Abingdon, Va. passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2019, at Johnston Memorial Hospital. He was born February 28, 1997, in Sterling, Va. Cody was a 2015 graduate of Dominion High School and relocated to Abingdon in March of 2017 where he was an employee of Johnston Memorial Hospital. He was an avid collector of tennis shoes and appreciated music of all genres.
Cody was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James Conley Wood. He is survived by his parents, David Roger Jenkins and Lisa Ann Wood Jenkins of Charlestown, W.Va.; brother, Timothy James Mitchler, Sr. and wife, Hannah, of Abingdon; Lindsay Jenkins of Abingdon, Va.; paternal grandparents, Roger and Hilda Jenkins of Spotsylvania, Va.; maternal grandmother, Isabella Wood; a niece and two nephews who Cody adored, Lucas, T.J., and Andrea.
