Glade Spring, VA PFC Colten “Cole” Riley Lowe, U.S. Army MP, age 21, passed away on January 31, 2015. He was stationed at Schofield Barracks, HI. Cole was a 2013 graduate of Holston High School. At Holston, he was an athlete, excelling in wrestling, football and track. Cole’s dream from a young age was to be a police officer and join the military. This dream came true when he enlisted in the U.S. Army. After completing basic training at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO, he was assigned to the 552nd Military Police Company at Schofield Barracks, HI. He was deeply loved, and his family is very proud. PFC Colten Riley Lowe is survived by his mom and dad, Luke and Jennifer Lowe; his father, Matt Wilkins; two sisters, Hayden and Bailey Lowe; and grandparents, William and Mary Lowe, George and Karen Wilkins, William and Susan Toppin, and Lee and Susan Casper. A funeral service will be held for PFC Colten Riley Lowe on Sunday February 15, 2015 at 4:00 pm at the Highlands Fellowship Church, 22417 Watauga Road, Abingdon, VA, where the U.S. Army will perform the service and provide full military honors. Friends are asked to meet at the church. There will be a private family viewing from 12-2 prior to the service.
