Conley Milton "C.M." Warren, 79, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2011 at his home. He was a lifelong resident of Abingdon and a farmer. Mr. Warren also enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of Walker Mountain Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin sister Thelma, sisters Katherine Self and Beatrice Johnson, and a brother Wilmer Warren, Sr.
He is survived by his wife Sharon Warren and one sister, Flossie Warren of Abingdon. Additional survivors include several nieces and nephews and in-laws.
Services for Mr. Conley "C.M." Warren will be held Sunday, March 13, 2011 at 2:00 pm at the Farris Funeral Chapel, 427 East Main Street, Abingdon with Pastor Billy Denton, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Knollkreg Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 12, 2011 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Paul Denton, Jeremiah Denton, Harold Terry, Roger Hearl, Junior Stout, Marvin Denton, and Billy Scyphers. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Walker Mountain Church.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Monahan and Betty Gayle, Regina Hilt, Kathy Lowe, Bill and Peggy Denton, Hometown Hospice, and all those that stopped by or just remembered us in prayers, cards and food.
