The very loved and cherished Curtis Slade Robinson, 48, whom will be missed dearly, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2009 from injuries he sustained in an automobile accident.
Born January 1, 1961 in Dickenson County, VA he is preceded in death by his father, Wricks "Rex" Robinson.
Those who survive him include his wife of 30 years Teresa; his son, Nathan of the home; his daughter Dawn Wise and husband, Darin; his beloved granddaughters, Mackenzie and Adrianna Wise; his mother and step father, Nancy and Charlie Branch; sisters, Nava Fields, Rhonda (Joe) Stevens, Donna (John) Ausmus, and Lisa (Huckle) Hicks; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Dorothy and Jimmy Ferguson; sisters and brothers-in-laws, Gleneda (Steve) Sproles, Harry (Edna) Ferguson, and Jenell Baldwin; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
The funeral service will be conducted at 8:00 P.M. Friday, October 23, 2009 at the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, located on the grounds of Forest Hills Memory Gardens, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA with Pastors Eddie Gobble and Adam Wise officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 7:45 P.M. Friday. A committal service will be held on Saturday at 2:00 P.M. at Forest Hills Memory Gardens, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon.
Pallbearers will be David Harmon, Ricky Crosswhite, Jonathan Garret, Daniel Sproles, Allen Wise, Andy Webb, Neal Reynolds, Mark Robinson, Zack Hicks, and Derrick Hicks. Honorary Pallbearers will be Cornet Rasnake, James Marcum, Leon Robinson, Joe Stevens, Jake Robinson and all cousins and nephews.
Those wishing to attend may meet at the funeral home at 1:45 p.m.for the procession to the graveside. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family through an account at Tru Point Bank.
