Daisy Nunley, age 93, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at her home.
She was a member of Morning Star Chapel. Daisy loved her family and enjoyed life to the fullest.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Dora Reynolds Reedy; her husband, Stanley Nunley; one son, Roger Lee Nunley; one grandson, Mark Bandy; two brothers, William Reedy and George (June) Reedy, Jr.; and two sisters, Cora Campbell and Flora Robinson.
Survivors include her children, Lora Duncan and husband, Clifton of Abingdon, JoAnn Wise and husband, James of Abingdon, Shelby Bandy and husband Jerry of Crewe, VA, Carolyn Scott and husband, Frank of Abingdon, Eileen Smith and husband, David of Lebanon, and Kyle Wayne Brooks and wife, Melanie of Nashville, TN; eleven grandchildren, Billy Wise, Darryl Wise, Tony Wise, Sheila Vestal, Robin Rasnake, Terry Wise, Lora Reynolds, Lisa Bandy, Adam Smith, Crystal Cross and Skylar Brooks; fifteen great grand children; five great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Daisy Nunley will be held at 8pm, Thursday, December 22, 2011 at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Pastor Clifton Duncan officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until the time of the service.
The committal service will be held at 11am, Friday, December 23, 2011 at Knollkreg Memorial Park . Those wishing to attend the services at the cemetery are asked to be at the funeral home by 10:30am Friday morning. Pallbearers will be Billy Wise, Darryl Wise, Tony Wise, Terry Wise, Nick Cross and Adam Smith.
The family would like to extend their thanks to Dr. Paul Armstrong, Jackie Chafin and Kim Horne for the compassionate care they provided to Daisy during her illness.
