Daisy Thomas

Daisy Roberts Thomas, a beloved homemaker, was born on December 31, 1931, in Washington County, Virginia. She passed away peacefully on December 29, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth that will be cherished by her family and friends.

Daisy was admired for her nurturing spirit and the joyful environment she created within her home. Her passion for gardening reflected her nurturing nature, as she found great solace and happiness in tending to her plants, which flourished under her care, much like the relationships she cultivated throughout her life. Many people enjoyed her blackberries and walnuts over the years. Daisy was a member of Dentons Valley Baptist Church. 

Daisy was preceded in death by her cherished husband, Fred Thomas, whose companionship and support were integral to her life journey. She also rejoins her beloved father and mother Henry and Mary Roberts, and siblings, Norma Farris, Liz Stevens, George, Frank, CW, and JB Roberts, who have all left an indelible mark on her heart.

She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, who will remember her fondly for the countless memories they shared and the love she bestowed upon them.

A visitation to honor Daisy's life will take place on January 3, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Farris Funeral Service located at 427 E Main St, Abingdon, VA 24210. Following this, a funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM, allowing family and friends to celebrate Daisy's remarkable journey and the love she shared with all those around her, a committal service will be held at the Cold Spring Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Bristol, TN., with Jerry A. Eggers officiating. 

Daisy Thomas will be remembered not only for her role as a homemaker but for the significant impacts she made on the lives of those fortunate enough to know her. Her spirit will continue to blossom in the hearts of her family and the beautiful memories they hold dear.

The family would like to thank all the staff at Commonwealth Assisted Living and also from Caris Hospice for everything they did for Ms.Daisy.
