Lebanon, VA - Bro. Dallas Ketron, age 66, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 23, 2021. Dallas was a coal miner for many years and was a Baptist minister. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmanuel and Rebecca Magdalene Caudill Ketron; infant son, Dallas Ketron, Jr.; and brothers, Richard and Jerry Ketron.
He is survived by his wife, Cleo Fields Ketron; children, Dallas Joseph “D.J.” Ketron of Pennsylvania, Amy Ketron of Kentucky, and John Cody Ketron of Lebanon, VA; siblings, Darlene Robbins of Woodway, VA, Michael Ketron of Pennington Gap, VA, Janice Ketron of Pennington Gap, VA, Bobby Ketron of Woodway, VA, David Ketron of Pennington Gap, VA, Ruby (Allen, Jr.) Fields of Lebanon, VA; granddaughters, Becky Fields and Alexis Castleman; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be held 6-8 p.m. Thursday, August 26, 2021, in the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday in the Forest Hills Chapel with Pastor Caleb Holman officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memory Gardens with John Cody Ketron, Michael Justus, Roger Fields, Allen Fields, Jr., Michael Fields, and Eddie Caudell serving as pallbearers. Military rites will be conducted by Highlands Veterans Honor Guard and the Virginia National Guard.
