David Allen Kestner

David Allen Kestner, age 51, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 22, 2015, at his home. He was born August 9, 1964, the last of eight children born to the late Samuel Glen Kestner Sr. and Cora Elizabeth Rosenbaum Kestner. David was an employee of Bristol Compressors for 27 years and also worked as a general contractor. He was a member of Belle Meadows Baptist Church and was an avid golfer. In addition to his parents, David was also preceded in death by his brother, Ricky Rosenbaum; and sister, Mary Frances Kestner. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Sandy Jean Meade Kestner; daughter, Destiny Kestner of Bristol, TN; son, Justin Duty of Bristol, VA; two brothers, Henry William Kestner of Damascus, VA and Samuel Glen Kestner, Jr. and wife Marcy of Abingdon, VA; three sisters: Martha Haynes of Morristown, TN; Melinda Martinez of Sanford, NC; and Clara Tiller of Meadowview, VA; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 26, 2015, at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. A funeral ceremony will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Dr. Dewey W. Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Old Glade Presbyterian Cemetery where pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
