David Lewis Sullins, age 86, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2024, at Bristol Hospice House after a brief illness. David was born on May 2, 1937, in Washington County, VA to the late Wiley Sullins and Georgia Ritter Sullins.
David worked for over 30 years as an equipment operator in the logging industry. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and planting flowers.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Ruby Sullins; four children, Wanda Blair (Steve), Darlene Gobble (Ernest), David Sullins (Valerie), Trish Craig (Brad); one brother, Bobby Sullins; one sister, Ruth Scott; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at 2:00pm at Forest Hills Memory Gardens, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon with Pastor Eddie Gobble and Pastor Junior Gobble officiating. Those attending the graveside service are asked to be at the cemetery by 1:45 pm. The graveside service will recorded and can be viewed at:
